Evaluation and Master Account Attributes

Profit Target

The Profit Target is the amount of profit you must achieve. The Profit Target is calculated as the profit you have earned on closed positions, i.e. the Profit Target does not include currently open positions.

Additionally, your best day, must not exceed 30% of your profit target.

There is no Profit Target once you move to the Master Account.

Max Dradown

Max Drawdown on our Challenge and its Master Account is calculated based on the highest balance ever recorded on the account.

How It Works: At the beginning, your highest recorded balance on the account is used as the starting point for your trailing Max Drawdown calculation. For example, if your initial highest balance is $100,000, and your trailing Max Drawdown percentage is 6%, the drawdown is calculated as:

6% of $100,000 = $6,000

Your trailing Max Drawdown threshold is set at $94,000.
If your highest balance reaches $103,000, the trailing Max Drawdown recalculates as:

6% of $103,000 = $6,180

Your new trailing Max Drawdown threshold becomes $96,820.

Locking of Trailing Max Drawdown:

‍The trailing Max Drawdown will never exceed your initial balance.
For example: If your initial balance was $100,000 and your highest balance reaches $108,000, your Max Drawdown would be $101,520 (6% of $108,000). However, this value is locked at your initial balance of $100,000, meaning the trailing Max Drawdown will remain at $100,000.

Similarly, if your highest balance reaches $110,000, the Max Drawdown will still remain at $100,000.

Payouts and Safety Cushion

If you request a payout from an account with a trailing Max Drawdown, it is crucial to always leave a safety cushion. On the Master Account in a One-Step Challenge and Instant Master Account, withdrawals count as a loss.
For example: If you have an $8,000 profit, bringing your balance to $108,000, you should not withdraw the entire $8,000.

Withdrawing the full profit would breach your account since you would have no available balance above your Max Drawdown level ($100,000) left to accommodate the withdrawal.

Master Account Attributes

Keeping Your Account Active

To keep your Master account active, you must place at least one trade per 7-day cycle on your Master account.

Failing to meet this requirement may result in your account being marked as inactive and breached.

Max Drawdown

The Max Drawdown is designed to adjust based on your account's highest balance, offering flexibility while maintaining a disciplined limit on potential losses.

Here’s how it works: The Max Drawdown is calculated based on the highest balance reached in your account. For example, if you start with an initial balance of $100,000 and the trailing max drawdown is set at 6%, your trailing drawdown limit would be 6% of $100,000, equating to $94,000. As your account grows and hits new highs, the trailing drawdown also adjusts.
For instance, if your highest balance becomes $103,000, the trailing drawdown limit will be recalculated as 6% of this new peak, moving the drawdown limit up to $96,820.However, once your trailing drawdown limit reaches your initial balance level, it locks at that amount.
So, if you start with $100,000 and your highest balance eventually reaches $108,000, your trailing drawdown will remain fixed at $100,000 and will no longer increase, even if your balance continues to grow. It’s important to keep a safety cushion if you intend to make a withdrawal.
If, for example, your balance is at $108,000 with an $8,000 profit, withdrawing the entire profit could lead to a drawdown breach. Instead, maintaining a portion of your profit ensures that your trailing drawdown limit remains intact and gives you room to continue trading within safe limits.

Market Hours

Trading is available only during market hours:

Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM CT to 3:10 PM CT.

‍Please be aware that if you do not close your positions by the end of these hours, we will automatically close them for you to comply with the trading schedule.

News Trading

You are welcome to trade news events on both Evaluation and Master Accounts without any restrictions. However, your strategy cannot be based solely on news trading; it must also include trades that are not news-related.

Circumventing this rule by opening only a few additional, small, or masking trades is not permitted.

Use of Expert Advisors (EAs)

Yes, you are welcome to use Expert Advisors (EAs) that assist you in your trading activities. However, it's important to note that we only permit EAs designed to support your personal trading decisions.

‍The use of EAs that automatically complete the Trading Challenge on your behalf is strictly aprohibited.

‍

‍The essence of the Trading Challenge is to evaluate your individual trading acumen, hence, the use of scripts or software that trade autonomously, without your direct input, is not allowed.

‍

Please ensure that any EA you employ is aligned with enhancing your personal trading strategy and decision-making process.

Copy Trading

Any user can copy their trades from their account, where this account will serve as a main account. However, copying from other individual's accounts to a For Traders account is not allowed.

Price Limit Trading

Traders are allowed to trade only when the price is within 2% of the CME price limit. This guideline helps prevent exposure to sudden market swings that could result in significant losses or leave trades open if the market halts.

These restrictions apply to both accounts: Evaluation and Master.

Arbitrage Trading

Hedge Arbitrage

It is not allowed for a user to hedge between two accounts and multiple accounts. A position in one account can't be hedged by a position in another account. Hedging - meaning going short on one account, and long on the other is strictly prohibited.

Reverse Arbitrage

Entails simultaneously selling at a higher price in one market and buying at a lower price in another.

Latency Arbitrage

Capitalizes on the delay in market data updates by executing trades based on faster access to information.

HFT

High-Frequency Trading (HFT) uses advanced algorithms and ultra-fast computing to execute a large number of trades in seconds, exploiting small price differences. It relies on speed and technology to gain an edge in the market, contributing to liquidity but also raising concerns about volatility and fairness.

Trading activities with a frequency of less than five seconds are strictly prohibited.

Grid Trading

Grid trading sets up a network of buy and sell orders at specific price intervals to profit from market volatility, executing trades as prices fluctuate. While effective in both rising and falling markets, it's sometimes banned for potentially manipulating market prices or exploiting structural inefficiencies.

Tick Scalping

Strategy aimed at snatching minor profits from the smallest price changes, called "ticks," in rapid succession. It's all about speed, with trades lasting seconds to minutes, often automated to catch these quick shifts. Ideal for those keen on exploiting instant market reactions, it demands fast decision-making and constant market watch.

Use of Automated Bots

The use of bots and emulators is prohibited.

We want to evaluate your personal trading abilities, so it is necessary to place all trades manually.

Gambling

Gambling in trading is characterized by actions that resemble betting rather than calculated decision-making based on market analysis. This includes overleveraging, placing one-sided bets without a thorough market analysis, or aiming to achieve unrealistic profit targets through high-risk trades. Such behaviors are not only risky but also undermine the fundamental principles of responsible trading.

Identifying Gambling Practices:

  • Overleveraging: Using excessive leverage without a systematic approach or risk management strategy.
  • One-Sided Betting: Placing disproportionately large trades on a single market event hoping for a significant reward.
  • Account Rolling: Repeatedly starting new trading challenges with a high-risk approach, disregarding sensible trading practices.
  • Passing Challenge in One Trade: We aim to ensure traders achieve profit targets through safe and consistent trading practices. To do this, we do not permit passing our challenge by making a single, large trade or multiple trades on the same symbol in the same direction that collectively account for over 50% of the profit target.

We reserve the right to reset the evaluation and require the trader to repeat it or apply regulations on individual accounts. Depending on the trading patterns and behaviors observed, we can impose specific limitations or requirements on individual trading accounts.

‍By enforcing these rules, we encourage a trading environment that prioritizes long-term strategy and risk management over short-term gains and opportunistic behaviors. These measures are designed to uphold the integrity of the trading process and ensure that all participants on the platform engage in responsible and strategic trading.

What Happens If I Break the Rules?

We recognize that everyone is only human and we distinguish between intentional and unintentional mistakes, so we consider each violation individually.

‍

In cases of a serious breach of our rules, please understand that we reserve the right to end our cooperation with you as a trader. This means that a significant rule violation on one account may lead to the closure of all your active accounts and the termination of any existing contracts, with no opportunity for future cooperation.
